People message me about partner codes all the time. Same question every time: can you get free trades or lower spreads?
No. AvaTrade has no commission on forex trades. You pay the spread. That's your trading cost. A partner code won't affect it.
Code 128979 unlocks the deposit bonus. Bonus money added to your account based on deposit size. Nothing more complicated than that.
What's the bonus amount?
Put in $1,000, receive $200 bonus.
$2,000 gets you $400.
Deposits between $5,000 and $9,999 get $1,000.
Top tier is $14,000 on deposits over $100,000. Most people won't hit that.
British traders get £160 bonus on £800 deposits. Goes to £11,200 at the top.
You can open an account with $100. Bonus requires $1,000 minimum.
The code field isn't obvious
Registration page. After you enter your phone number, you'll see small text reading "Have a Partner Code?". Click on that text. The field expands. Type **128979**.
People overlook it constantly because it's hidden.
If the system rejects it, don't panic. Complete your registration. Message your account manager before you deposit. Ask them to add code 128979. They handle this regularly.
There's a catch with the bonus
There's a volume requirement.
Around 10,000 units per dollar of bonus. $200 bonus requires 2,000,000 units of trading volume. Can take time with smaller position sizes. Regular trading gets you there sooner than you'd expect.
The deposit belongs to you. Take it out anytime. Bonus funds remain locked until volume is met.
One thing worth knowing: the bonus adds to your available margin even when locked. Allows for slightly larger trades. For someone still learning, that buffer can keep you in the game long enough to figure things out.
